RWTH Aachen
I hold a B.Sc. in Architecture at Rhenish-Westphalian Technical University in Aachen. I’ve accomplished my Bachelor thesis at the Chair for Urban Planning and Design with the topic “THE PATH: Urban design concept of coastal zone in Seeb, Oman” focused on public spaces and social integration. During my Bachelors, I did a 6 months internship as a teaching assistant at the Urban Planning and Architecture Department in the German University of Technology in Muscat, Oman.
In October 2020 I started doing my Masters in Transforming City Regions. The main focus of this interdisciplinary degree is on urban and regional planning in European context. Currently I’m writing my Master thesis with the topic “From Wave to Circle: Evaluation and Circular Economy Strategy Development in Industrial Port Areas on the Case Study of the Duisburg Port”.
My research interests include methods of enhancing transition to circular economy of urban and industrial areas, energy transition and sustainability in port areas. Moreover, I’m looking into enhancing people’s well-being and social cohesion through sustainability and future-orientated approach.
