We are thrilled to extend an invitation to our NOISE® project event! Join us as we unveil the installation of urban sound in the public spaces of Katendrecht in Rotterdam, featuring a fusion of soft maps by artist Nadia Nena and recordings capturing the soundscape of the neighborhood. Your presence is invaluable as we seek your insights over drinks and snacks on Friday afternoon, June 21st from 17:00 to 20:00!

The NOISE® project, which delves into sound exploration within redeveloped harbor public spaces, linking sonic elements to observations on social resilience, has been made possible through the generous support of the Resilient Delta Initiative

We eagerly anticipate your attendance at what promises to be a stimulating experience. As space is limited, please register here: Registration link

The NOISE® project

The NOISE® project delves into the transformation of public spaces in port cities, specifically harbour districts transitioning into residential areas. We aim to explore the diverse environmental characteristics impacting public health, with a special focus on the role of sound in redeveloped harbour spaces and its connection to social resilience. Currently, a pilot study is being conducted in Katendrecht, Rotterdam, to gather insights. The goal is to showcase the findings through an artistic-interactive map at a local community event scheduled for June 2024.

This event takes place after the final PCF monthly meeting of 2023-2024, in the same venue! (Verhalenhuis Belvédère).
